Connect an AI assistant

Ketoshrink works with AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Connect once, and your assistant can review your journal data with you, acting only as your own signed-in account.

Your Ketoshrink server address

Every assistant connects to the same address. Copy it below, or come back to this page whenever you set up a new assistant.

Claude

  1. Open the connector form with this button (Claude opens it pre-filled with the Ketoshrink address):Add connector to Claude
  2. If the address field is empty, paste the Ketoshrink server address you copied above.
  3. Click "Add".

ChatGPT

  1. In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Settings and choose Plugins, then open the MCPs tab.
  2. Click "Add server" and give it a name, such as Ketoshrink.
  3. Set the Type to "Streamable HTTP".
  4. Paste the Ketoshrink server address and click Save.
  5. Click Restart, then enable the server.

On the ChatGPT website, custom MCP servers are added through Developer mode instead of the MCPs tab.

Cursor

  1. Open Customize, then the MCPs tab, and click "New MCP Server".
  2. Cursor opens its mcp.json file. Add an entry with the Ketoshrink server address as its url, then save.
  3. Toggle the server on.

Other assistants

  1. Copy the Ketoshrink server address above.
  2. Add it as a streamable HTTP MCP server. A name and the address are all most assistants need.
  3. Reload the assistant so it picks up the new server.

Signing in and approving access

After you add the server, your assistant will open a Ketoshrink page asking you to approve access. Sign in with your own Ketoshrink account and approve. Your assistant only ever acts as you, and only with the data your account can already see.

After Ketoshrink ships changes

Assistants cache the list of tools Ketoshrink offers. If a tool ever seems missing, refresh or reconnect the server in your assistant's MCP settings, and it will pick up the latest version.
